Cherrapunji, lately has also gained popularity because of the Living Root Bridge which is a 3 km long and is at a height of 2400 feet. The bridge is the oldest natural bridge made around 200 years ago.

The crown of the wettest place on the planet goes to Mawsynram. It experiences an average rainfall of almost 11,872 millimeters annually, thereby making it one of the most distinctive tourist places in Meghalaya.

The landscape of Mawsynram is filled with lush green hills witnessing humongous amounts of rainfall throughout the year. The village is adorned with prepossessing landscapes, low-flying clouds, misty weather, and refreshing waterfalls. Though it can be visited through out the year, the best window to visit Mawsynram is from April to June.

Mawlynnong Village
